Improvements |
The CA Department of Transportation , District
7, is proposing to make improvements on route 405 between National Blvd
and Greenleaf Street..
Alternative 1: No Building
Alternative 2: Widening of existing facility to include a
northbound HOV lane
Alternative 3: Widening of existing facility to include a
northbound HOV lane and restore southbound lane and shoulder widths to
current standards
Alternative 4: Widening of existing facility to include 4 HOV
lanes, 2 Northbound, 2 Southbound on an elevated viaduct within the
freeway median
Alternative 5: Transit Enhancement Alternative involving design
features that would facilitate increased transit use in the corridor
Alternative 6: Transportation Systems and Demand Management
involving using improvements to existing facilities and shifting people
into higher capacity modes of transportation
Public Scope meetings will be held January 16 and 17th, 2002. The
16th is at the Veterans administration at the corner of Sawtelle and
Dowlen, Building 500, Room 1281, Los Angeles from 6-8 pm. The 17th will
be at the Radisson at 15433 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks form 6-8 pm. The
focus is to solicit comments on alternatives and potential impacts.
